Main changes for SUMMER 2010 are trail modification in the orchard and tree
planting to reduce drifting and wind. The orchard trail last season was around 1.91 miles. This year it will be close to 2.5
miles. Long, straight sections have been replaced with curvy, non fall-line meanderings. The ADVANCED area in the orchard
has been tamed, and I expect that most people will like the new modifications. All in all, the orchard area will be a bit
more technical and MORE fun. Expect to see around 200 more evergreens in the orchard to help with drifting and wind.
I have started to thin apple trees by cutting dead or dying trees. Evergreens will be planted as replacement. This will be
a costly endeavor, as each tree will be around $45; plus burlap and wire mesh, $20; and labor and other expenses, $15, =$80
per tree. Fortuitously, I have about 50 pines on my property, (which need no baskets or mesh) which will cut the cost.

Equipment Additions: A new snowmobile will be added for 2010-11- a Ski-Doo
Skandic 4 stroke 800cc. I have also now ordered a 108" Ginzu, which I have heard grooms better than the 84 inch. The
Ginzu design has been totally revamped for the 2010/11 season.
