Door County ski rental revolves around the beginning to intermediate classic skier. If skating skis are preferred, rent them at home and bring them with you. SNOWKRAFT does not rent skis. Money Saving Tip: Ski gear is provided free of charge at Crossroads at Big Creek on weekends and possibly weekdays also. This is a great way to try skiing w/o an initial investment. Crossroads is focused on family and novice skiers and the area I recommend for families with younger kids. Interestingly, Xroads is about the same size as Snowkraft, at 7 acres bigger. Err- you should not bring xroads rental skis here.

Path and Paddle: Sturgeon Bay- Neat store. Rents snowshoes, but not skis at the moment. A SNOWKRAFT top pick.
NorDoor Sports: Fish Creek- Rents skis and snowshoes

Ecology Sports: Sister Bay- Rents skis and snowshoes. Also, a splendid coffee and sandwich can be had here. A SNOWKRAFT top pick.
